Where To Go
Upon Arrival
The Welcome Center is conveniently located adjacent to the parking lot. The left or right set of double doors of the Welcome Center is where individuals purchase tickets and rentals. You can purchase everything you need at the ticket counter (ski pass, rentals, and lessons). You must have a ski pass to access the slopes and rent equipment. After receiving your ticket, place it on your jacket, metal wicket first and then the ticket. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance for putting on your lift tickets. If change (quarters) are needed for lockers, now is the time to do so.
Getting Your Equipment (Ski and Snowboards)
After attaching your lift tickets, simply proceed to the rental shop which is located in the back of the Welcome Center.
Step 1 – Tell the attendant whether you are skiing or boarding and what size boot you want. Sizes generally match your shoe size.
Step 2 - Find a spot on the benches and try on your boots. We recommend only one pair of socks please! Otherwise the boots will be uncomfortable and not fit properly. Adjust your buckles; make sure you have a snug fit, but not uncomfortably tight. You should be able to wiggle toes. Hosts are available to assists you. Do not hesitate to ask for help.
Step 3 – Proceed to the adjacent counter where you will fill out a simple rental form (age, sex, identify your skier type and if you are a beginner or not, and signature). You will be asked your weight and height so equipment can be safely fitted to you.
Step 4 – After receiving your equipment, the technician will advise you on pole selection and where to proceed. There is a locker area available where you can conveniently store your personal items. The lockers do take quarters, so if change is needed; please do so at the ticket window to avoid delays in the rental shop.
Take a Lesson
The teaching area is located right outside the back doors of the rental shop. Instructors will be there to greet and assist you. The lesson will teach you how to turn, stop, how and when to use the lifts at Snowstar.
